Size charts by gear type

Helmet, jacket, suit, gloves, pants or boots — jump to the fit finder with your category.

Wrap a soft tape around your head above the eyebrows and ears. Note head circumference in cm and head shape (round, intermediate oval, long oval) for the best helmet fit.
Measure chest at the widest point (under arms), natural waist, hips, and sleeve from shoulder to wrist. Wear a thin base layer — same as you ride in.
For one-piece leathers use chest, waist, hip, height (standing barefoot), and inseam. A correct suit fit is snug with room to move on the bike — not loose like street clothes.
Measure jacket and pants separately. Match chest and sleeve for the jacket; waist, hip, and inseam for pants. Buy both pieces in the same brand for consistent fit.
Measure palm width across the widest part (excluding thumb) and hand length from wrist crease to fingertip. Gloves should be snug — leather stretches slightly after break-in.
Waist at navel level, hips at widest point, inseam from crotch to ankle. Sit on your bike if possible — riding pants need to work in the riding position.
Measure foot length standing (heel to longest toe) in cm and calf circumference at the widest point. Charts show EU and UK sizes (38–47) mapped from foot length.
Riding shoes use the same foot length in cm as boots. Enter cm — the chart converts to EU and UK shoe sizes for your brand.
MX boots fit snug for control — measure foot length in cm standing. Charts show EU and UK sizes; calf width matters for taller MX boots.
MX jerseys run looser than road gear. Chest and waist still matter, but riders often size for mobility and armour underneath.

Sizing FAQ

How do I find my motorcycle helmet size in cm?+

Measure head circumference with a soft tape above your eyebrows and ears. Match the cm value to the brand size chart (XS–XXL). Round and long-oval heads may need half a size up — use our fit finder with head shape for Shoei, Arai, AGV and more.

What measurements do I need for a one-piece motorcycle suit?+

You need chest, waist, hip, height, and inseam in centimetres. One-piece leathers fit close to the body — compare all five fields to the brand chart, not chest alone. Alpinestars, Dainese, RST and Rev'it charts are built into our tool.

How tight should a riding jacket fit?+

Snug but comfortable with armour in place. You should move your arms freely and zip up without strain. If chest is between two sizes, check waist and sleeve — our fit finder scores all measurements and suggests primary and alternative sizes.

Are motorcycle glove sizes the same as regular gloves?+

No. Motorcycle brands use palm width and hand length in cm. Street glove sizes (S, M, L) do not match Alpinestars or Dainese MX/road charts. Always measure your hand and use the brand-specific chart.

EU boot size vs cm foot length — what should I use?+

Measure foot length in cm standing, then look up your brand chart. EU numbers (38, 39, 40…) and UK sizes (5, 6, 7…) are shown together on our boots, riding shoes and motocross boots charts. Calf circumference matters for touring and race boots — enter both in the fit finder.

Why do Dainese and Alpinestars sizes differ for the same chest?+

Italian brands use different pattern blocks. Dainese often runs slimmer than Alpinestars or RST at the same letter size. Always use the exact brand chart — our tool applies manufacturer-specific sizing per brand.

Is this size chart accurate for buying gear in India?+

Charts follow manufacturer cm ranges used globally; Indian riders use the same measurements. Buy from authorised dealers when possible and use our recommendation as a starting point — try gear on or check return policy for exchanges.

What if I am between two sizes on the chart?+

Our fit finder shows a recommended size and an alternative when you are on a boundary. For armour and leather, the smaller size often breaks in; for touring textiles and MX gear, the larger size may be more comfortable.
